The president’s son made the call on Thursday, August 28, as the Catholic Youth Organization of Nigeria (CYON) marked its 40th anniversary.

Delivering a goodwill message at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Awka, Anambra state, he described the CYON as a beacon of hope and a platform that has nurtured generations of Nigerian youths in faith, service, and community impact.

Seyi Tinubu, represented by the National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Belusochukwu Enwere, commended CYON for four decades of shaping young Nigerians in the Catholic faith and urged the group to renew its zeal in nurturing the next generation for greater societal impact.

“For four decades, CYON has been a beacon of hope, a platform for spiritual growth, and a nurturing ground for countless young lives dedicated to the cause of Christ,” Seyi Tinubu said.

“Your unwavering commitment to sharing the Gospel, fostering unity, and impacting communities with love and compassion has touched hearts, transformed lives, and glorified God.”

As reported by The Guardian, Seyi Tinubu paid tribute to the past leaders and members of the organization, offering prayers for those who had passed on while celebrating the current leadership for sustaining the vision.

He urged the youth body to renew its zeal and passion for its mission, stressing the need to continue empowering young people to grow in faith, uphold truth, and spread the love of Christ.

“Congratulations on 40 years of impactful, resourceful, and result-oriented apostolate. May the Lord continue to bless, strengthen, and lead CYON into greater heights for His glory,” he said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Seyi Tinubu lamented that some antagonists have been relentlessly going after his father and family.

Speaking to a group of youths in Yola, Adamawa state, Seyi described his father as the greatest president in Nigeria’s history.

Legit.ng reports that the president’s son has been embarking on a tour of northern states since the start of 2025 and he has met with governors and political stakeholders.

The President’s son shared the photo of his younger self on his Instagram handle with the captain: Dear younger me, stop letting your fear hold you back.

Nigerian youths have reacted to the old photo with many asking if the cap belongs to the Tinubu’s family.
