80-Year-Old Japanese Woman Sends N10.2 Million To Scammer Who Claimed To Be Stranded in Space

• The scammer told the woman that he was an astronaut who was stranded in space and needed money to buy oxygen
• The woman, who is 80 years old, sent the man $6,700 (about N10.2 million), not knowing that she was being scammed

A scammer played a fast one on an unsuspecting 80-year-old woman and vanished with her money.

The woman reportedly met the man on a social media app in July, and they started talking.

According to reports by Sky News, the woman believed she was interacting with a genuine person who needed her help.

The man had told the elderly woman that he was stranded in space and that he needed help to buy oxygen.

The old woman believed him and sent the money to him in what is believed to be a romance scam.
