80-Year-Old Japanese Woman Sends N10.2 Million To Scammer Who Claimed To Be Stranded in Space

A scammer played a fast one on an unsuspecting 80-year-old woman and vanished with her money.

The woman reportedly met the man on a social media app in July, and they started talking.

According to reports by Sky News, the woman believed she was interacting with a genuine person who needed her help.

The man had told the elderly woman that he was stranded in space and that he needed help to buy oxygen.

The old woman believed him and sent the money to him in what is believed to be a romance scam.

She sent him $6,700 (about N10.2 million), not knowing that she was being scammed of her life savings.

The story has gone viral and attracted many comments on social media. It was posted on X by Instblog9ja and it got many reactions.

Lady exposes alleged Nigerian scammer

In a related story, Legit.ng reported that a German lady has shared her painful experience with a Nigerian man whom she accused of scamming her.

According to the lady, she sent $18,000 to the young man who claimed to be a web developer but he ghosted her afterwards.
