Chatting in Bizarre HQ, Sydnie told Jack: “It’s so exciting.
“I never thought I’d have an album of original songs.
“I have been writing since I was young and I never thought I’d see the light of day.
“Now, as an adult I am getting the opportunity to write and work out my style.
“People have seen me and just think, ‘She’s musical theatre’, which is all I’ve ever known – but it’s not all I sing, or have ever sung.
“I am really enjoying the process.
“It’s talking about my life and my adventures and my experiences.”
And the first person she plans to play the music to is none other than BGT judge Amanda Holden.
Sydnie said: “All it takes is for me to message her and she replies and vice versa. I have got a demo of a song that I need to send her.
“I would never go, ‘Plug this for me’, but I’d ask her opinion on the music.”
She’s only just wrapped up a successful run as Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmations at the Hammersmith Apollo in London but there’s no rest for Syd.
Next week she will headline her own One Night Only style show in London’s West End.
She will play the Adelphi Theatre on September 9th.
Talking about the show, Sydnie said: “I’m so excited.
“We are actually filming the show for PBS in America which is great. I would definitely say this is an upgrade to my last show.
“I will be introducing some new songs people’s haven’t heard.

“I try and be clever when I pick what songs I want to do. I think ‘where do I want to be in the future’ so if I want to be in a certain musical I may do a medley from that and hopefully if any casting directors come to the show they think they could see me in that show and then maybe I get an audition.
“I’ve got all my sparkly outfits lined up.
“It’s so funny as I am such a tomboy, I am always in jeans and a top and a trainer but on stage I love to step into this glamourous version of myself.
“I love the glitter and feeling that energy.”
