The 2023 Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has resumed public engagements after the suspension of his scheduled appearances.

Obi resumed public engagements after a brief medical rest based on the doctor’s advice.

“Let me begin by thanking everyone who wished me well during my short time away from engagements on the doctor’s advice.

“I resumed my many engagements yesterday, and I started by honouring a promise to visit an SME business owned by someone I met during the course of my activities, and I was truly delighted to listen to the owner.”

Obi had earlier on Saturday, September 6, said the doctor advised him to take a day or two to rest.

“Earlier in Enugu, I was not feeling well. I visited the hospital where the doctor gave me some medication and advised me to take a day or two days rest.

“In obedience to the doctor’s advice, I will not be able to meet up with all my scheduled engagements within and outside the country this weekend.

“I sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this might cause and humbly plead for understanding.”

Recall that former governorship election candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Dr. Charles Ugomuoh, released a bold prediction about Peter Obi’s participation in the 2027 elections.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Kenneth Okonkwo asserted that Peter Obi’s promise to serve only one term if elected as president in 2027 is a calculated political move.

In a trending interview on Friday, Kenneth Okonkwo, a member of the opposition coalition party, the ADC, revealed that Obi made the promise to secure northern votes in 2027.

Okonkwo, a former chieftain of the Labour Party, explained how Atiku Abubakar introduced the idea of a one-term pledge and why Peter Obi now keyed into it.
