FCT, Abuja – Ahead of the 2027 election, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recognised Senator David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola as the national chairman and national secretary, respectively, of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
As reported by Nigerian Tribune, INEC equally recognised other interim national officers of the opposition party.

Reacting, Bolaji Abdullahi, the ADC national spokesperson, expressed his delight.
He wrote on his verified X (formerly Twitter) page on Wednesday, September 10:
“Game on!”
In another post, Abdullahi said:
“We congratulate ADC members and all lovers of democracy in Nigeria.
“We commend @INECNigeria and its chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, for standing on the right side of history and for standing up for the cause of multi-party democracy.
