A 53-YEAR-OLD mum has shared how she went from being burnt out from her full-time job to quitting and having ”freedom”.

Prior to the big change, TikToker Lisa was working 9-5 as a care manager – but was still struggling financially.
According to the mum, she was ”broke, in debt, and tired of pretending everything was fine” when the reality was different.
Lisa was living in ”constant stress”, as she had ”maxed out cards” and was struggling to keep up with the ”rising bills”.
”I felt stuck and overwhelmed – until I found a side hustle for beginners that actually fit into my busy life,” said Lisa, who’s now made £2,500, all from her phone.
”I never thought I’d be the type of person to quit my job and work online… but here I am, living proof it’s possible,” the 53-year-old recently shared her success story on TikTok.
Eager to earn cash without having to answer to a boss, Lisa discovered digital products – products that are created, distributed and consumed in an electronic format.
Digital products refer to digital files that buyers can purchase and download instantly.
Examples include printable art, digital planners, e-books, stock photos and more.
Before her journey of selling her digital products, Lisa admitted that she was ”terrified”, as she ”didn’t have a big following” and ”didn’t have fancy tech”.
”But I knew I needed a way out – a way to create freedom, work from anywhere even at static by the water and finally stop living paycheck to paycheck and start living day by day on my own terms.”
She said in a recent video: ”Working long hours, barely seeing the benefits, always feeling like I was just surviving… not living.
”So, I made a choice most people wouldn’t dare to make – I swapped the chaos for a simpler life in my static caravan (most of the year).
”It wasn’t easy. It wasn’t instant. But it’s so worth it.
”I’ve earned over £2,500 already and I’m going all in on my online business selling digital products which I can work from anywhere from my phone.”
Lisa, who shares her journey under the username @lisajdigital16, went on: ”Sometimes you’ve got to block out the noise, stop worrying about what everyone else thinks, and do what feels right for you.”

The Brit revealed that she will be staying at the caravan for nine months – and whilst this may not be ”forever”, the new lifestyle has given her a ”fresh start”.
”If I can do it, so can you.”
For the rest of the year, Lisa said in a different video, she plans on ”travelling and exploring new places”.
To help her get through the first few months and have some extra cash on the side, Lisa revealed she ”sold a couple of assets”.
The mum, who lives in South East, explained that before moving into the static caravan site, her ”bills were over £1,000” just for her half.
”I have not had my invoice for my first site fees and electric yet but it will be probably half price than renting where I live as it’s expensive,” she told TikTok viewers.
Do I need to pay tax on my side hustle income?
MANY people feeling strapped for cash are boosting their bank balance with a side hustle.
The good news is, there are plenty of simple ways to earn some additional income – but you need to know the rules.
When you’re employed the company you work for takes the tax from your earnings and pays HMRC so you don’t have to.
But anyone earning extra cash, for example from selling things online or dog walking, may have to do it themselves.
Stephen Moor, head of employment at law firm Ashfords, said: “Caution should be taken if you’re earning an additional income, as this is likely to be taxable.
“The side hustle could be treated as taxable trading income, which can include providing services or selling products.”
You can make a gross income of up to £1,000 a year tax-free via the trading allowance, but over this and you’ll usually need to pay tax.
Stephen added: “You need to register for a self-assessment at HMRC to ensure you are paying the correct amount of tax.
“The applicable tax bands and the amount of tax you need to pay will depend on your income.”
If you fail to file a tax return you could end up with a surprise bill from HMRC later on asking you to pay the tax you owe – plus extra fees on top.
The video, which was posted under the username @lisajdigital16, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 198,200 views, 1,886 likes and almost 400 comments.
Social media users were gobsmacked by Lisa’s success and many eagerly flocked to the comments, desperate to know more on how they too could do the same.
”My husband and I are doing the same, we can’t wait. looks great, stress free and relaxing,” wrote one person.
”Keep us updated on how you are getting on… so jealous,” another chimed in.
”Takes a lot of courage. Good luck and follow your dreams,” a third penned.
”Can’t beat living in a static, we have been for the last 10 yrs and love it,” someone else commented.
”Well done you for making a great move and I wish you all the best, enjoy the open space, the peace, and don’t look back.”
