Breaking: Jonathan, Peter Obi in Closed-Door Meeting Amid Opposition Plot to Sack Tinubu

Former President Goodluck Jonathan held a closed-door meeting with Peter Obi, the Labour Party flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election, in Abuja on Thursday, September 11.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra, announced the development in a social media post, where he described the former president as his leader, statesman and elder brother. He also disclosed that they discussed issues around the country and the state of the nation.

However, Obi did not mention if their discussion touched on controversies around the 2027 presidential election. The meeting came at a time when the Peoples Democratic Party said it was considering Obi or Jonathan as its 2023 presidential candidate
