Nigerian radio personality, actor, disc jockey, and hype man Destiny Ezeyim, better known as Radiogad, reacted to videos and pictures shared on social media showing the turnout at Hilda Baci’s Jollof rice cookathon in Lagos.

Legit.ng previously reported that netizens on X, formerly Twitter, compared the large crowd at Hilda Baci’s cookathon to RCCG’s yearly convention.

Reacting, Radiogad opined that the turnout was a signal of the level of unemployment and hunger in the country.

The media personality, who claimed 20,000 people attended the cooking event, questioned what was so special about cooking the world’s biggest pot of Jollof rice that would make people leave the comfort of their homes in large numbers.

“What is so special about someone cooking the world’s biggest pot of rice? Why would you leave the comfort of your house to go watch someone cook something you can cook at home? It’s because you have no work. Nigerian youth are disgracing us,” he said in the video.

While captioning the video he shared on his Instagram page, Radiogad added:

“If not for hunger and unemployment in Nigeria, why would over 20,000 youth be watching Hilda Baci cook a pot of rice? Omo, I’m tired of Nigerian youths o.”
