Woman Addresses Parents Struggling to Pay Children’s School Fees, Describes Such Payment as “Ransom”

A Nigerian woman, Nenye Uzowulu, sparked reactions when she addressed parents who struggle to pay their children’s school fees.

She noted that school fees, which parents struggle to pay, could also be described as ransom.

On her Facebook page, she also advised parents about taking their kids to schools they could afford.

She said in her post:

“Any school fees you struggle to pay is no longer school fees but ransom! Take your kids to where you can afford. Same as house rent.”

In the comments, she added:

“I know a woman who is living in debt now. She will always collect loan to pay school fees. Like what kind of mother are you?”
