BOURNEMOUTH attacker Justin Kluivert has been presented with his official Guinness World Record certificate for scoring a hat-trick of penalties in the Premier League.
Almost one year after his unique triple in a 4-2 win over Wolves at Molineux in November 2024, he has now been handed confirmation of the achievement.

The Dutch attacker became the first player to achieve the feat, scoring twice from the spot in the first half for Andoni Iraola‘s side before adding a third to round off a victory last season.
The prestigious award was given to him prior to kick off in the Cherries’ 2-1 win over Brighton on Saturday.
Kluivert came off the bench at the weekend and has fallen out of favour on the south coast with other attackers being preferred.
He can still boast his World Record, which states: “The most penalties scored by a football (soccer) player in an English Premier League match is 3, and was achieved by Justin Kluivert (Netherlands) in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK, on 30 Nov 2024.”
Kluivert’s team-mate, striker Evanilson, also became the first player in the English top flight to win three penalties in a single game.
It is the first instance of a player scoring three in the same match since Ken Barnes for Manchester City against Everton in 1957, making Kluivert the only man in the Premier League to do so.
There is no mention of Bournemouth on the certificate, which labels Kluivert as a ‘record holder’ and ‘officially amazing.’
When asked about the moment, Kluivert said: “That sounds beautiful.

“To go in the history books – that’s amazing. I’m super happy with it.”
Speaking earlier this year, he also expressed his desire to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records for a different reason.
“I think I am the first player to score in the top six competitions – if Holland is the sixth,” he said.
Kluivert has scored league goals for Bournemouth (England), Roma (Italy), Ajax (Holland), Valencia (Spain), Nice (France) and RB Leipzig (Germany).
He can now say he is a World Record holder after all.
