It said that YEIDEPTV will offer an authentic source of official program updates, ensuring applicants and beneficiaries have access to accurate information.
The channel also promises consistent content, including program announcements, instructions, success stories, and beneficiary alerts, enhancing engagement with Nigeria’s youth.
About YEIDEP
YEIDEP is a federal government initiative aimed at reducing youth unemployment, promoting entrepreneurship, and fostering socio-economic stability, Vanguard reports.
The program is anchored by the Youths Off The Street Initiative (YOTSI) and supervised by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development alongside the Senate Committee on Sports Development.
Since its inception, YEIDEP has registered over 6.8 million members, making it one of the largest youth-focused programs in Nigeria.
A statement on the official website reads:
“Our mission is to mitigate youth unemployment, grow Nigeria’s economy and alleviate household poverty by helping youths to access the business financing, enterprise development services and other basic economic incentives and empowerment platforms needed to transform themselves into entrepreneurs, job creators, income earners and builders of wealth.”

Federal government develop apps to connect youths to opportunities
In a related development, the the Federal Government and Polaris Capital Limited have entered a strategic partnership to train, certify, and connect 100,000 artisans with employment opportunities nationwide.
The programme will cover ten priority trades, including bricklaying, plumbing, electrical works, carpentry, painting, welding, tiling, Plaster of Paris (POP) and screeding, upholstery, and air conditioning/refrigeration.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development said the three-year programme will draw funding from federal allocations, private sector investments, and donor support.
It added that a digital platform, CraftHub Connects, will be launched to book, verify, and link artisans with employers, ensuring accountability and financial sustainability.
FG launches New credit scheme for youths
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) has launched YouthCred to make loans available for Nigerian youths.
The national loan scheme allows young people to access up to N5 million as part of efforts to help them actualise their dreams with ease.
Ayodele Olawande, the minister of Youth Development, in a statement said the scheme was not just for corps members but for all youths irrespective of their status.
