Comfort Emmanson: Woman Shares What Ibom Air Did Wrong While Responding to Passenger Saga

A Nigerian woman has joined those analysing the issue between Ibom Air and Comfort Emmanson.

The woman shared her opinion in a Facebook post in which she said Comfort’s right to dignity was violated.

In her post, Esther Ijewere said that while she did not support unruly behaviour, the response that the passenger got was not dignifying.

Lady shares what the air crew did wrong against Comfort Emmanson

Esther said:

“I only wish Comfort Emmanson, the Ibom Air lady, had been a little more patient. There’s a line in my post yesterday on emotional regulation. Sometimes, people will rile you up, press your last button, and you just have to stay still instead of reacting. While I don’t support her misconduct, nothing justifies the way she was dehumanised.”

Esther said Ibom Air did not address the issue properly when the issued a statement to explain what happened.

She said:

“Now, other passengers who have experienced similar lapses in professionalism from Ibom Air staff are beginning to speak up. You can’t throw one person under the bus to save face while ignoring deeper issues within the system.”

According to Esther, those involved in the issue should be fished out and sanctioned, especially those who circulated the video on social media.

She noted:

“In this case, fairness demands that accountability touches everyone involved. They violated her right of dignity and everyone found culpable should be sanctioned.”

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a new video trending on social media shows the moment an Ibom Air passenger was in a physical struggle with security.

Comfort Emmanson, who has been remanded in prison, was visibly angry as security agents attempted to restrain her.

The video has quickly gone viral and is attracting different reactions from Nigerians on social media.
