He said his personal interactions with the three lawmakers convinced him they stand apart for their character and commitment to truth.

“I’ve not seen any angel before but if there is someone that looks like an angel from what I have read from my religious and theological materials, then it is the Speaker Rt Hon Tajudeen Abbas,” Agbese said.

He added that Abbas embodies qualities rarely seen in public life, describing him as a man who does not compromise on principles.

“He’s a man who believes white is white and black is black. He’s a man who does things without fear or favour. He leads in such a way that members are satisfied.”

Abbas praised for his trustworthiness

Agbese noted that Speaker Abbas has earned the trust of colleagues by maintaining fairness and representing the interest of the parliament with confidence and clarity.

He also praised Dr. Patrick Umoh of Akwa Ibom and Hon. Boma Goodhead of Rivers state, describing them as lawmakers whose honesty and dedication stand out in a political environment where such traits are often questioned.

“If I’m asked to name two or three honest Nigerians, I will tell you number one is the Rt Hon Speaker. Second is a young man from Akwa Ibom who had really impressed, Dr Patrick Umoh representing Ikot Ekpene/Essien Udim/Obot Akara and Hon. Boma Goodhead representing Asari-Toru Federal Constituency,” he stated.

According to Agbese, these legislators provide reassurance that integrity is still possible in Nigerian politics.

He said their conduct serves as a benchmark for both their colleagues and the wider public at a time when public confidence in elected officials remains fragile.
