“I continue to pray for the soul of my beloved husband, a legend whose light will never fade. May he rest in perfect peace, wrapped in God’s eternal mercy. Alao pointed out the divine and mysterious part of her journey with her late husband.

“I met my husband on June 19, 2007, and I lost him on August 19, 2025, both dates falling on a Tuesday. To the world, it may look like coincidence, but to me, it is a sign that our story was written by God Himself. Time may have separated us, but love remains eternal,” she said.

“This journey has not been free from pain or cruel accusations. To those who mock, bully, or even wish death upon me and my children, I hand you over to God Almighty. As Psalm 3 declares: ‘But You, O Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.’ My smiles and my joy are God-given, they cannot be stolen, no matter your wish. The one who digs a pit will fall into it, and no weapon formed against us shall prosper,” she wrote.

The actress also penned an appreciation to everyone who stood by her and her children, including the Republic of Benin, the country her late husband played for as a footballer.

“As I step out, I choose hope, peace, and happiness. My God who began this journey with me will perfect it. My future will be filled with genuine smiles, and my children and I will live to testify of His goodness. RIP ADESHINA ADIO OKO ABIKE,” she added.
