Adam Peaty’s family have ‘given up hope’ of reconciliation after Gordon Ramsay dig as parents fear ‘he made his choice’

ADAM Peaty’s family have told friends they’ve “given up hope” of reconciling with their son after Gordon Ramsay’s latest dig.

The Olympian’s new father-in-law called himself “dad” as he commented on a clip of Adam’s wedding speech, in which he declared he would “always choose” Holly.

The subtle snub after Adam, 31, reportedly uninvited his parents – Caroline and Mark – has sparked fears “he’s made his choice”.

An insider close to Adam’s parents said: “It’s been a really emotional time for them as a family.

“They’re coming to terms with what has happened and that Adam has picked his side.

“It’s dashed any hope of reconciliation in the near future.

“They’re keeping their heads down and trying to move on quietly. It’s clear Adam’s made his choice.”

The drama surrounding Adam’s wedding to Holly Ramsay was first sparked when his mum wasn’t invited to her hen do.

She was then banned from attending their big day at Bath Abbey on December 27, which was attended by Gordon’s close friends David and Victoria Beckham.

The family’s relationship hit a new low when Holly called police after Adam’s brother, James, 34, allegedly made threats via text while he was on his stag do in Budapest.

Then fresh backlash came after Gordon made a striking speech and told the couple how his wife Tana “will be a good mum to them both”.

Telling Adam he was a “lucky man” as he addressed wedding guests, Gordon added: “Look at Tana and that’s what you have to look forward to.” 

Then in a sly dig at Adam’s absent parents he told Holly: “Shame you don’t have the same.” 

Adam said previously: “We just need people to be aware that there are always two sides to every story. To those of you who have reached out and shown kindness and understanding – thank you. It is deeply appreciated.”

We previously told how Adam and Holly’s wedding war with his family WILL feature in Gordon’s new Netflix show.

The much-anticipated docuseries has seen cameras follow Gordon’s glitzy life for over a year as part of an access all areas glimpse into his world.

The cameras were present for Gordon’s daughter’s ceremony, but members the Peaty family will be notably absent on screen.

They have demanded Netflix remove them from the docuseries altogether.

A source said: “The cameras were there and part of the day was filmed. It’ll be very obvious which family members aren’t there. 

“I would imagine that the family feud will come up at some point – it would be weird to just ignore it.”
