Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Gunners ‘on verge’ of making Eze bid, HUGE Lookman TWIST, Rodrygo ‘LOAN’ deal

Arteta transfer wish

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants two more signings this summer.

According to The Times, Arteta needs a left winger and potentially a creative midfielder.

That means the Gunners may still move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze.

The North Londoners have also been prioritising good injury records.

‘Eze is a Tottenham player’

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze during the summer transfer window.

However, Tottenham legend Jermain Defoe is adamant Eze would fit Spurs much more than the Gunners.

Eze is someone who, if this makes sense, is a Tottenham player, someone who plays with freedom, and you look at the great players over the years that the players have had.

Rodrygo transfer update

Arsenal could have big news regarding their bid to sign Real Madrid star Rodrygo next week.

According to TBR, the Gunners are still keeping tabs on the forward.

The same source claims “the next week or so will be hugely telling” regarding the Brazil international’s status..

Tottenham are also eyeing the 24-year-old during the summer transfer window.

Partey joining Villarreal

Former Arsenal player Thomas Partey has completed a move to Villarreal.

Partey was a free agent after seeing his contract at the Gunners expire earlier this summer.

The 32-year-old has signed two-year deal with the Yellow Submarine.

This comes as the midfielder is charged with three counts of rape against an alleged victim and two against a second.

The Ghana international is also charged with one count of sexual assault against a third complainant.

Partey appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday and was granted conditional bail to next appear at the Old Bailey on September 2.

Max Dowman advice – EXCLUSIVE

Ex-Arsenal wonderkid Charlie Patino has advised current boy wonder Max Dowman to stay grounded and humble ahead of a potential Premier League debut.

Schoolboy Dowman, who is only 15, made a huge impression on the Gunners’ Far East Tour and is in line to play Prem football this season.

Patino was once in that same position, having been feted as one of the best-ever trainees to emerge from the club’s esteemed Hale End youth academy.

The midfielder’s first senior appearance came in December 2021 aged 18 when he scored in a 5-1 League Cup win over Sunderland.

And the current Deportivo La Coruna understands the pressures and expectations being placed on the playmaker’s young shoulders.

I’d say to him to keep your head down, be grounded, be humble. Listen to the people around you.

Listen to the players who’ve got a lot more experience.

He’s a lot younger than me. I’ve seen a few clips and he looks like a very quality player.

At an age like that, we don’t want to put too much pressure on him.

It’s all about timing. Time will tell where he gets to. I wish him all the best in what he does.

Wilshere linked with return

Arsenal hero Jack Wilshere could be making a big return to his beloved club’s coaching staff.

Wilshere, previously the Gunners’ Under-18s boss before leaving for Norwich, is a leading candidate to take over the Under-21s.

There is a vacancy because previous coach Mehmet Ali has joined Brentford as part of Keith Andrews’ first-team staff.

The 33-year-old was caretaker manager at Norwich for the final two games of the season.

The former England international wanted the job on a permanent basis but left the club after being told he would not get it.
