A BODY has been found after a kayaker went missing on a river at a local beauty spot.
Police, fire, and ambulance crews scrambled to the riverside in Tiverton, Devon, on January 24 after the alarm was raised.


Devon and Cornwall Police has now confirmed a body has been located for the kayaker, a man in his 40s, who was reported missing at the weekend.
The force said the body was recovered from the River Exe on Thursday.
Formal identification has yet to take place but the man’s family has been made aware.
Police were previously called on Saturday, January 24 following concerns for a male kayaker in the river near Greater Western Bridge.
A kayak was later recovered following initial searches after the man reportedly got into difficulty.
Emergency vehicles lined the riverbank as frantic searches for the kayaker on the River Exe got underway at the weekend.
A helicopter reportedly joined the operation as Devon and Cornwall Police issued an appeal for information.
