Charles was shot and killed at a university campus in Utah while making a speech in public.
His death has been condemned by many people on social media. Some of them said that while they disagreed with him, he did not deserve to die the way he did.
However, a particular woman joined those who toed a different path by appearing to celebrate the killing of the popular activist.
According to reporting by WSMV, the woman is identified as Laura Sosh-Lightsy, and she worked as the assistant dean at Middle Tennessee State University.
She said:
“Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence. Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy.”
In a statement issued by the school, it was confirmed that she has been sacked.
The statement, signed by MTSU president Sidney A. McPhee, reads:
“An MTSU employee today offered inappropriate and callous comments on social media concerning the horrific and tragic murder of Charlie Kirk. The comments by this employee, who worked in a position of trust directly with students, were inconsistent with our values and have undermined the university’s credibility and reputation with our students, faculty, staff and the community at large. This employee has been fired effective immediately. We extend our deepest sympathies to the Kirk family.”
A lot of people on Facebook condemned the former assistant dean after the story was shared by Breitbart.

Facebook reactions to Laura Sosh-Lightsy’s comments
Tricia Miller Melton said:
“Charlie Kirk was NOT hateful. He was kind and encouraged discussion of ideas. It’s amazing that people label it as “hate” if someone simply and politely disagrees with your opinion.”
Larry Odu’s said:
“Hate may have silenced a voice today, but it can’t silence the message. Charlie Kirk impacted thousands of young people, no matter which side of an issue they stood on. He had a way of not just sharing what he believed, but also explaining why and he was willing to dialogue with anyone. I hope those who had the chance to stand in front of the mic with him remember the respect he showed and the conversations he sparked. Rest in peace legend.”
Donna Grant Byerly said:
“There was absolutely no hate in this man. He spoke truth. He spoke God’s love. He spoke to help people see you can think and make a difference for good. I have sympathy. I have sympathy for those who hate. I pray your eyes may be opened to see truth, love and know sympathy.”
