CHELSEA have sent David Datro Fofana to Turkey on loan after freezing him out in their ‘bomb squad’.

The Ivorian striker, 22, arrived at Stamford Bridge for £10.5million in 2023 but has played just four times without scoring.
He managed four Premier League goals for Burnley while on loan in 2024, and has also spent time at Union Berlin and Goztepe.
Datro Fofana is now returning to Turkey after securing a season-long loan on their deadline day to Fatih Karagümrük S.K.
It comes just days after he was surprisingly named in the Blues’ Premier League squad, despite being surplus to requirements.
He has been training at Cobham away from the first team – alongside other ‘bomb squad’ stars Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi.
The trio have been forced to eat alone and even use a separate TOILET after being told they have no future at the club.
Datro Fofana fell further down the pecking order in West London after the summer signings of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap.
The Blues have also already agreed a deal for Emanuel Emegha, 22, to join from sister club Strasbourg next season.
In a statement on their website Chelsea said: “Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana has joined Turkish side Fatih Karagümrük S.K. on a season-long loan.
