Nigerian singer David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has reacted to claims that he was slapped in Warri while attending a show.

A media outlet known as Asaky on X had posted a video of the singer in Warri. In the clip, Davido was seen walking with security men beside him when a hand suddenly hit him on the head.

In the recording, the music star looked at the person, touched his head, and walked away from the scene.

The blogger who shared the video claimed in the caption that Davido was slapped by Warri people.

Responding, the “If” crooner called the blogger “mumu” and a heartless person, clarifying that he was not slapped.

Explaining what happened, Davido said it was his security man who mistakenly hit him on the head, not a random person.

Some fans insisted that his security team was not effective enough, warning that if it had been a weapon, the outcome could have been worse.

A few also recalled incidents involving 2Baba and Psquare in Warri, noting that they were once attacked, and they advised Davido’s security team to be more cautious.

Recall that a few hours earlier, another video surfaced showing Davido being whisked away after allegedly clashing with a fan on stage.

Also, some months ago, a lady attempted to touch Davido while he was passing; he dodged, and his security team was criticised for not preventing the incident.
