FCT, Abuja – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) said the court did not order the removal of Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as National Chairman and National Secretary of the party.

The ADC National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, said the Court refused the ex parte application brought by Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe and directed that the matter proceed with due process.

Abdullahi said the news circulating is fake and politically motivated

He dismissed the report in a statement issued via his X handle @BolajiADC on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

“Contrary to some misleading publications, the court did not issue any order restraining Senator David Mark and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola from functioning as the National Chairman and National Secretary of the ADC, respectively. Instead, the Honourable Court refused the ex parte application brought by Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe and directed that the matter proceed with due process.”

The political Jobbers have resorted to fake news after they failed to stop INEC from acknowledging the ADC leadership change.

According to the ADC spokesperson, inaccurate reports are characteristic of the ruling party and its agents.

“This goes to show that these agents of destablisation will stop at nothing, including misrepresenting court rulings, in their desperate efforts to sow confusion and further undermine opposition parties.”

He said the ADC leadership has urged the press and the general public to be vigilant and be wary of fake news.
