HOLIDAYMAKERS could soon see multiple new additions at a popular seaside resort after it revealed plans for a huge revamp.

Unity Beach holiday park in Brean, near Burnham-on-Sea, is set to splash out £10.2million on a new outdoor pool, lazy river and lido area.
The new features, which need approval from Somerset Council, could open in as little as six months, according to the park.
In addition to the new attractions, the park intends to update its changing area facilities too.
The site recently underwent a £15million upgrade with a new Wonky Donkey pub and restaurant, with a new pavilion, sports bar and arcade opening in May.
The Wonky Donkey serves up traditional and comforting pub grub such as mac n’ cheese for £12.99 and scampi and chips for £13.99.

Then at the Unity Sports Cafe, guests get to play games such as darts and shuffleboard, while catching their favourite sporting events on TV.
Inside the Pavilion Theatre, visitors can enjoy a range of family entertainment and shows including silent discos, movie sing-along challenges and a number of shows, like Enchanted Trail where the audience has to solve mysterious riddles.
As well as the 2025 additions, the park is home to a theme park with 40 rides and attractions and an indoor waterpark, with entry included when you book.
The indoor waterpark boasts four different areas, including a 25metre heated pool, a Splash Zone for younger kids, a baby pool, and ‘rainbow rings and disco waterslides’.
Then outside, there is a seaside water play area for under 12s and three water slides.
And for those who prefer to stay out of the water, there is Brean Play spread across several floors for kids up to 11-years-old, with obstacles such as a spider-web climbing frame, small slides and a trampoline.
There is even a ninja zone where children between seven and 11-years-old can test their agility skills.
For older kids or adults wanting to get a fitness session in, there is also a padel court on the site and a sports court too.
All of this is then sat right by a five-mile long sandy beach as well.
As for places to stay, the park has a range of different accommodation options including lodges and caravans – some of which are dog friendly.
Or for those who love the fresh air, there is also a camping and touring site.
And visitors can opt to stay during a themed break, such as ‘Totally TOTS Takeover’, next taking place between September 22 and 26.
The break, specifically designed for children under five-years-old, includes free swimming and entertainment, as well as access to the park’s other attractions.
Alternatively, visitors could enjoy 70s, 80s, and 90s tunes during ‘Decades Weekend’ from October 17 to 19, with caravans from just £99 based on four people sharing.
Regarding the site’s plans, Unity Holidays commented that if the planning permission is approved, most of the work on the new features would be carried out between December 1 and March 1, 2026.
Resort director Jonny Green said: “Since Unity Holidays bought the business, we have always looked to improve and increase what we have to offer, which we hope attracts more people to the west coast of Somerset, thus bringing greater footfall not just in Brean but to towns like Weston-super-Mare and Burnham.
Unity Holidays also recently revealed a £10million revamp plans for its other site, Skirlington Coast holiday park near Hornsea in East Yorkshire.
If planning is approved, the park would gain a new outdoor swimming complex, with sun decks and a festival garden by Easter 2026.
Like the Brean site, there is also a new pub, pavilion and restaurant at the park as well.
Another English holiday park in an ancient woodland recently revealed new expansion plans with more lodges as well as a new pool and spa.
Plus, back in July, a UK holiday park revealed major £8.1million makeover plans with new holiday cabins and campsite.
