Social media user PersianBoyMillz1 caught a suited Peter Crouch in the act, writing alongside his post: “Look who I just walked into.”

The former striker was seen telling the cashier, “Thanks a lot mate, cheers”, before turning to leave.

It’s no wonder Peter, 43, was unable to fly under the radar given his 6ft 7in frame.

Since hanging up his boots in 2019, Peter has launched a successful podcast – The Therapy Crouch – with wife Abbey Clancy.

Debenhams reveal 1st Xmas ad of year with all-star cast… despite it being October

During a recent episode he revealed Abbey, 39, had given him an ultimatum regarding their family home.

He said: “She keeps giving me an ultimatum – we either move or we do the house up.”

To this, Peter shared his thoughts on Abbey’s plan, as he added: “I say, ‘well how about we do none of those?’

“There’s a couple of things, she said, ‘I want to change a few cupboards’.

“I said, ‘yeah, that sounds fine,’ but now, it’s a complete re-decoration.”

Following this, Britain’s Next Top Model star Abbey continued: “I just think, if we’re not gonna move, we should just do it once and do it perfect.”

But clearly not on the same page about their £3 million Surrey mansion, the dad-of-four responded: “The house is lovely and we just stay in it.”

Abbey continued: “The house is lovely, but because we’ve been here 11 years, things are starting to go and things are going a bit shabby.”

And fans think she’ll end up getting her way, with one writing: “100% with Abbey.”

Another commented: “Her explanation does make sense. 11 years is a long time and a lot of wear on kitchens etc, especially with kids.”
