GAVIN And Stacey’s Ruth Jones has put her stunning five-bedroom Welsh pad on the market for £1.15million after her shock split from her husband.

The hit BBC show’s co-writer and protagonist, 58, revealed her 26-year marriage was over back in June.
Actress and author Ruth, who plays Gavin and Stacey‘s much-loved Nessa Jenkins, quietly separated from producer David Peet 18 months ago – and he has since moved on with a look-a-like.
Now her Tudor-style Edwardian property is on the market, with the screen star set to make an incredible £800K profit.
The former couple, who haven’t been spotted at the luxurious pad in Penylan, Cardiff, for years, bought the imposing home in 2001 for £325,000.
It features stunning classic black and white frontage on the home’s upper tier while the lower exterior is a fresh white shade.
Pretty bushes and plants fill the paving stone-clad front garden.
Inside, the homely, clean aesthetics continue with high-ceiling rooms, open fireplaces, arched internal walls and parquet flooring.
The bathrooms also ooze space and natural light, with metal detailing on the windows.
Ruth, now based in London, previously gushed how the pad in her homeland was one of her “favourite places to be.”
Spread across three floors, it also boasts Edwardian tiling and an open plan kitchen with an AGA.
Estate agent On The Market said of the pad it is a “handsome, three-storey bay-fronted Edwardian style residence, retaining charm and character, sympathetically extended, choice position overlooking Roath Park recreation fields.”
MOVING ON
In a statement addressing their break-up, the former couple said: “We amicably went our separate ways 18 months ago and are now legally separated. We remain good friends.
“Since our separation, Ruth is living in London and David is living in Canada, where he is in a new relationship.”
MailOnline reports David is now dating digital creator Jayne Charity Cook.
Gavin and Stacey’s Best Moments

With the news that the show is set to make an exciting return to screens, let’s take a look at some of the comedy programme’s biggest and best moments…
- Smithy and Rudi’s American Boy rap – No one will ever forget when James Corden and Sheridan Smith rapped perfectly word for word the Kanye West and Estelle hit American Boy as they walked across the car park on the phone to Gavin.
- Pam’s Vegetarian faux pas – Despite loving a cheesburger, Pam found herself caught up in a web of unexpected lies when she claimed to be Vegetarian. She is forced to keep up the secret throughout the entire show and uses hubby Mick to help her scoff meat. She is later rumbled when Stacey catches her in the act as she scoffs ham in the kitchen. Stacey says to her: “Is that ham, Pam!?… “I’ve seen you, Pam. A scotch egg here, a bit of bacon there, putting those regular sausages into the Linda McCartney box”.
- THAT fishing trip – It remains one of the biggest mysteries in Gavin and Stacey history as to just exactly what did happen on the ill-fated fishing trip. Bryn appears to be hiding a secret as to an occurance between him and his nephew Jason which has left relations fractures. Ness’ on-off boyfriend, Dave, is the only other person to know the whole truth. Bryn did appear to allude to him and Jason lying together naked to keep warm as he said to Dave: “We’re going to have this out, once and for all, man to man, you may know what happened, David, but you don’t know why it happened! It was freezing cold, it was! And when you are that cold…”
- Islands in the Stream – No one can ever forget the classic Karaoke performance of Islands in the Stream. Nessa and Bryn performed the track in front of all their nearest and dearest. It saw the whole pub burst into some line-dancing as they enjoyed a boozy night out.
- The Xmas special proposal – In 2019, fans were left overjoyed when the show made a comeback but it ended on the ultimate cliffhanger. Nessa asked Smithy if she would marry him as she finally laid bare her feelings for him. Fans were gutted as the show then cut straight to the credits as they never found out just how Smithy answered. Will all be revealed in the brand new episode?
Jayne, who bears a striking resemblance to his ex Ruth, updated her Facebook profile picture to a cosy snap of her with David.
Ruth was a step-mum to David’s three children from a previous marriage.
They met while filming a BBC pilot comedy in the 1990s. David was married at the time.
Ruth later said: “Affairs cause a lot of pain; they’re not something one aspires to do.
“You don’t aspire to cause pain to people in their life.”
ON SCREEN
This week, The Sun exclusively revealed how Ruth and her Gavin and Stacey co-writer James Corden had scooped a seven figure deal with AppleTV for a new series.
The duo will star in the ten-part comedy drama alongside an all-British cast.
Set in the UK, filming begins next year with the hotly-anticipated show due in 2027.
The deal, believed to worth up to £8million, was agreed amid interest from BBC, Netflix and Amazon Prime.
A show insider said: “In what has unquestionably been a pretty miserable year for Brits, there is finally something to cheer — a new James and Ruth co-production.
“As you might expect, it is uplifting, gentle and very funny.”
