Nigeria played a 1-1 draw against South Africa at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday evening, September 9.

Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong scored an own goal in the 25th minute after putting the ball at the back of the net following a counterattack from the Bafana Bafana.

A minute to the end of the first half, Calvin Bassey came to the rescue after converting a cross from Fisayo Dele-Bashiru.
