How fight unfolded as Destroyer dominates Next Ge

CONOR BENN ended his family’s THREE DECADE long wait for victory over the Chris Eubank clan.

Over 30 years after his dad Nigel was beaten and then drew against Eubank Sr – son Conor at last clawed back some bragging rights for his namesake.

Eubank Jr was an excellent but razor-close winner in April – but in their rematch back at Tottenham it was close to a shutout over 12 rounds for Benn.

And Benn sealed the deal with two knockdowns in the final round – to leave the official scores reading 119-107, 116-110, 119-108.

But here is SunSport’s breakdown and scoring off the rematch.

ROUND 1

Far more subdued opening from the first fight with Benn more reserved, landing right hook to the body.

ROUND 2

Right hand chops down from Eubank just shaving Benn’s temple.

Benn launches an attack but Eubank spoils before wrestling the smaller man to the ground – showing his superior size and strength.

A left hook to the body rebounds off Eubank’s ribs before he tries coming back with a double jab of his own.

Benn snaps Eubank’s head back with a jab and boxes nicely on the outside, landing a lead left to the body.

ROUND 3

Eubank whipping in counter left hooks and rear uppercuts but misses the mark with Benn feinting on the outside.

Two lovely counters, an uppercut and a left hook for Eubank in a round he desperately needed to win.

ROUND 4

Eubank tries to grab hold and rough up Benn but to no avail.

Big right hand from Benn skims off Eubank’s skull but he’s not bothered.

Right hand to the body stabs in for Benn and Eubank misses the follow up counter.

Benn boxing and moving on the outside, launching the jab then getting back out of range.

Eubank attempts a three-punch combination but hits nothing but air – concerning signs already.

Right hand lands for Benn but Eubank fires back with a sharp left hook counter.

ROUND 6

A right hand lands for Eubank before ducking underneath Benn’s wild haymaker.  

But Benn is boxing and moving, landing jabs and body shots.

Eubank starting to pick Benn off with the jab, making the smaller man miss with his right-hand replies.

Desperate lunge forward from Eubank sees him miss wildly with the right and left – closing out an uneventful round.

ROUND 7

Both men swing from the hip and end up in a clinch.

Benn has Eubank backed into a corner and lets a combination to the body go.

Eubank looks to land the jab and almost falls over his feet, losing his balance; he looks spent without even exerting any energy.

Benn launches a right hand and Eubank counters with an uppercut but it just grazes the sweet spot.

Eubank’s gumshield comes out – giving him a moment to try and gather himself and get back into the fight.

Referee calls them over after sustained holding but after the break Eubank springs into action landing a big right hand.

ROUND 9

Big right hand from Benn snaps Eubank’s head back but he fires back with a three-punch reply of his own.

Benn walks forward, driving a right hand into Eubank’s body with nothing coming back.

Eubank stands in the middle and swings hooks but Benn evades – it’s one-way traffic.

ROUND 10

Benn lands a nice one-two and Eubank looks to hold in response – he has no answers.

Benn jabs from the hip and Eubank – feet still planted – takes it on the chin.

Eubank is retreating back to the ropes but offering nothing in terms of offence.

Benn jumps in with a jab in time to slip the laboured reply coming his way.

Eubank almost spins himself around trying to land the left hook – a punch he has failed to connect with all night.

Boos began to echo around the chilly Spurs stadium – before turning into cheers as Eubank is thrown into the ropes.

Benn dips underneath, lands a right uppercut and pivots off, lovely work.

One-two lands for Benn and Eubank counters with an uppercut before winging over a wild right hand which misses by a mile.

Big right hand floors Eubank in the final round but he bravely makes it to his feet.

He circles around to get his feet underneath hm as Benn chases after him.

Benn bundles Eubank down again to score his second knockdown before the bell saves his born rival.
