According to the lady identified as @jeaiffer, she never expected that she would lose her job at the time she did.
She was not the only one who was sacked, as she revealed that her entire team was laid off from work.
She was sacked via Zoom call, a development that broke her heart, but she said it was a period of transition for her.
She said:
“It’s funny how organisations want a 2 weeks’ notice, but can completely obliterate your livelihood in a 10-minute Zoom call. I went into that meeting thinking the new CIO was just proposing a re-org… but hearing my entire department was terminated effective immediately was not on my bingo card for the day. My heart goes out to everyone on my team too- So many are new parents, planning weddings, or in the middle of major life changes… and just like that, no more jobs.”
She said her husband has continued to stand by her and noted that she is going to focus on her social media content while looking for another job.
Her words:
“My husband and best friend keep calling it a redirection…maybe even God telling me to focus more on my content lol. So while I’m job hunting, I’ll also be putting myself out here more. Your support means the world. And to anyone else going through this, I’m praying for new beginnings for us all.”

I had 6 weeks from my maternity leave I had not used because I went back to work 8 weeks after I had her. I’m in pain, I’m confused. And I hope it gets better. Bank worker loses her job
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a woman had lost her job at the Commonwealth Bank in Australia after she was replaced by an artificial intelligence (AI).
The bank staff, identified as Kathryn Sullivan, 63, has worked for the organisation for 25 years before AI replaced her.
Interestingly, Kathryn Sullivan was the one who trained the AI chatbot, not knowing that it would take her job.
