Abdulmumin Jibrin, the House of Representatives member representing the Kiru/Bebeji federal constituency and a close ally of the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has hinted at the possibility of him dumping the NNPP leader.
The Kano-born politician explained that it should not be a surprise if he resigned from the NNPP, adding that he was old enough to make an independent decision and decide what was politically best for him.

Daily Trust reported that the lawmaker made the disclosure while speaking in an interview, explaining that he was wealthy when he joined the Kwankwasiyyah Movement and that he had used his resources to help the Kwankwaso-led movement, just as it helped him in securing his return to the national assembly in the 2023 elections.
