ACTRESS Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33 after a battle with cancer as her family pays tribute to “a bright, fervent light”.

The star is best known for her role as Addy in season 9 of the popular AMC zombie series The Walking Dead.
The actress, producer and voice over artist also made her mark as Alice in the psychological thriller Broadcast Signal Intrusion and as Penelope Jacobs in Season 8 of the hit medical drama Chicago Med.
Earlier this year, she starred alongside Inbetweeners actor Joe Thomas in the comedy-drama film Universal, which was released on June 21.
Kelley passed away on August 2 in Cincinnati after a battle with central nervous system glioma, according to a statement from her family shared on the non-profit health platform CaringBridge.
The star’s death was announced in an Instagram post on her page, reading: “It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley.

“Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go.
“Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present.
“Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies.
“She will be missed by so many to depths that words cannot express.”
Kelley previously revealed that she was undergoing aggressive treatment after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last September.
Friends and former colleagues filled the comments section beneath the post, expressing their sadness over the actress’s passing.
One wrote: “This girl was SO special. My heart is so broken.”
Kelley’s character Addy appeared on The Walking Dead for a year between 2018 and 2019.
Her other television roles include 9-1-1, Chicago Med and The College Tapes.
Meanwhile, Delicate Arch – a horror-comedy feature starring the actress – was released on Screambox in February.
The actress’s family has organised a “recognition and remembrance” event to honour her life on August 16 in Ohio, as per their statement.
It comes as Instagram star Chase Filandro died at the age of 20.
The actor’s sister remembered him as an “avid traveller” and a “shining light” in a heartbreaking tribute on Monday.
The New York City-based influencer died unexpectedly on July 31, according to People.
