Ajaokuta, Kogi state – Alhaji Aminu Akuh Kawu, the paramount ruler of Elaite in Ajaokuta local government area (LGA) of Kogi state, is dead.
Legit.ng reports that Kawu’s death was confirmed on Saturday, September 12, by Yakubu Murtala Ajaka, the Social Democratic Party (SD)P candidate in the 2023 Kogi election.
Ajaka wrote across his known social media pages:
“I mourn the passing of HRH Alhaji Aminu Kawu Akuh, the Paramount Ruler of Elaite in Ajaokuta LGA. He was a man of peace, wisdom, and selfless service, whose life was dedicated to the well-being of his people. His death is indeed, a huge loss to the traditional institution, to Kogi State, and to Nigeria as a whole.
“My heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Elaite, and the entire Ajaokuta community. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannah Firdaus. Ameen.”
