Ace Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan is in a proud dad moment as his daughter, Eyiyemi, enters a new chapter of life.

The movie director took to Instagram on Thursday, September 11, to pen down heartfelt words as she officially joined the 20s club.

Sharing warm photos with his daughter, Afolayan poured out prayers every parent would relate to.

In Yoruba, he prayed that he would never weep over her, that her journey through life would be prosperous, and that wisdom and understanding would guide her.

He wrote:

“Omo mi Eyiyemi! Mo gbaa ladura pe, mi o ni fi oju sunkun e, waa dagba, waa s’orire. Eledumare a fun e ni ogbon ati oye.

Also celebrating Eyiyemi, movie star Bimbo Ademoye wrote in part:

“I was going to mute these videos and add a very nice song. But no! Let the world see what you always put me to 😂😅. My yeye dance teacher. Happy 20th to my twin. My baby girl . I love you my yemyem. I see how hard you strive to become a better version of yourself everyday and I’m so proud of you.”

The video, which was from 2016, captured Afolayan sharing ideas with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg during his first visit to Nigeria.

Afolayan, in the old video, was sharing an application idea on how content creators could monetise their content on Facebook as he shared the challenges Nollywood was facing with Zuckerberg.
