The Nigerian Air Force has inaugurated its International Helicopter Flying School (IHFS) in Enugu state, designed to train world-class helicopter pilots for both military and civilian careers.

In a post shared on its official X handle, the Air Force noted that the school is equipped with cutting-edge facilities and highly experienced instructors, aimed at advancing aviation excellence and strengthening airpower across Africa.

Nigerian Air Force 2025 recruitment begins

In a post shared on its verified X handle on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the Force said the recruitment drive reflects its commitment to enhancing its operational capacity in modern warfare, with a strong emphasis on engineering, medical services, and cybersecurity.

NAF airstrikes bomb bandits to death in Zamfara

In another development, Legit.ng reported that several armed bandits terrorising the people were bombed to death in the Tsafe local government area of Zamfara state.

Troops of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) traced the bandits to a mountainous area before releasing the bomb on them.

A counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, said the bandits were suspected to be relatives of notorious bandit kingpin, Ado Aliero.
