Observant Lady Raises Thought-Provoking Question about Ibom Air Hostess Who Was Slapped

A writer and a certified medical esthetician, Vicky Bon Edikan-Oboezi, has reacted to the viral Ibom Air incident involving an ‘unruly’ passenger named Comfort Emmanson, who has now being remanded in the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, Lagos.

In a Facebook post, Vicky faulted the air hostes and Comfort, but maintained that the airline’s staff could have handled the situation better.

Vicky, who said Ibom Air hostesses had been rude to her aunt twice, stated that two wrongs don’t make a right.

She said one should not work in an airline if the person is not trained to calm a mad passenger. She posed some thought-provoking questions regarding the incident.

She wrote:

“The Ibom AIR hostess should be questioned.

“How did the passenger’s wig fall off from her head?

“That I know the passenger is ill mannered doesn’t mean she wasn’t being provoked. The passengernger didn’t have rights to slap the hostess, no matter what!

“A passenger was rightly not supposed to be dragged out like that, and same Ibom air staff covered her even when her naked body was being exposed.

“This didn’t happen in a park. It happened in an airplane! The class is off.

“Twice, Ibom Air hostesses have been rude to my big aunty.

“Two wrongs can’t make a right!!!

“If you are not trained to calm a mad passenger, you should not be working in an airplane!!!!

“I have never ever put off my phone in a plane before. No matter how long the flight is.

“I am always on flight mode, while I listen to music. I get affected by flights so badly, my ears and all.

“At what point was the Girl asked to switch her phones off? Because I see there were no other passengers in the plane yet.”

“What then would be said about the other uniformed fellows she hit or tried to slap after being dragged out. Did you also watch the part she swung her purse at another officer who was only trying to calm her down? These evidences only give logical perspective to her person. Even if she was harassed provoked without cause, I doubt any reasonable person will react that way. I doubt you would yourself.”

Ibom Air: Man on flight shares experience

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that a man who was on the same Ibom Air plane with the viral lady had shared what actually happened.

He said it was an Ibom Air crew member who prevented Comfort from alighting from the aeroplane.

The passenger, who gave his account in the comment section of a yet-to-be-identified Facebook post, narrated that Comfort had told the airline’s crew that her phone was already on flight mode.
