According to Millyet, Fenerbahce players took a protest to referee Ozan Ergun, claiming the forward made a foul against Skriniar during a build-up to the goal.

The referee headed straight for a review following a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) alert to watch the replay on the screen. In an aerial duel, Onuachu and Fenerbahçe’s player Skriniar jumped for the ball, and Onuachu brought it down.

After carefully reviewing the video, Ergun canceled the goal of the Bordo-mavililer.

The Nigerian international was booked for dissent after protesting the referee’s decision, with former Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana holding him back, per Pan African Football.

“He is constantly being punished by Turkish referees because they cant realize that this man is 2.01 tall and his elbows are at the same level of a standard height man’s face. In the slightest touch, they say its a foul. And shameless players like Skriniar are using this.
