FCT, Abuja – Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami, has confirmed that Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, paid him a courtesy visit on Monday night, September 15.
Pantami expressed gratitude for the visit and appreciation from his family.

Pantami disclosed the meeting in a post shared on X.
“Last night, I received a friendly visit from His Excellency Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State and the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party. We discussed a range of issues, including agriculture, economy, education, artificial intelligence, global statistics, and unity in diversity, among others. My family and I are most appreciative of the visit,” Pantami wrote.
Nigerians react to viral video
A video of the meeting has since gone viral on social media, with many Nigerians interpreting it as part of Obi’s growing political consultations ahead of the 2027 elections.

Previously, Legit.ng reported that former President Goodluck Jonathan held a closed-door meeting with Peter Obi, the Labour Party flagbearer in the 2023 presidential election, in Abuja on Thursday, September 11.
Obi, a former governor of Anambra, announced the development in a social media post, where he described the former president as his leader, statesman and elder brother. He also disclosed that they discussed issues around the country and the state of the nation.
