Nigerian Afrobeat star Seun Kuti has weighed in on Dangote’s condolence statement following the death of BBNaija Phyna’s sister, Ruth Otabor.
Legit.ng reported that in the statement posted on the company’s official X account on Sunday night, management expressed grief over the incident, calling it a tragic loss.

Ruth was seriously injured in a horrific accident on August 18, 2025, in Auchi, Edo State. According to the statement, Dangote Group executives and insurance partners have been providing financial and medical assistance to the victim’s family since the incident occurred.
Dangote management also stated that safety, accountability, and compassion remain key to its operations, while assuring the public of its continuous commitment to upgrading safety procedures.
Seun Kuti argued that there wasn’t enough space on the internet to contain the names that should have been included in their official statement.
“There isn’t enough space on the internet for all the names that should be on this letter.”

Legit.ng earlier reported that Ruth’s death was officially certified by Eko Solicitors & Advocates on behalf of the family at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Ruth had been involved in a tragic accident on August 13, 2025, at Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, when a Dangote Group lorry crushed her leg.
She had undergone an amputation just days after graduating from Auchi Polytechnic, but died from complications resulting from the incident.

Seun Kuti claims artists launder money
According to a previous report by Legit.ng, Seun Kuti alleged that his colleagues in the Nigerian music industry might be into money laundering.
In a video made by the artist, he noted that he has been touring for 20 years and still struggling to build a house.
He called on the youths to wake up and see the reality of life and the game many are playing just to survive.
