A Nigerian prankster and YouTuber known by his stage name, Teaser Prank, pranked a bole seller by pretending he was broke after buying a ₦500 boli (roasted plantain).

He bought it from her and pretended not to have money. Rather than getting angry or shouting at him, the bole seller, who revealed herself as a 68-year-old woman, told him not to bother.

He then mentioned that he didn’t even have money to buy water. Despite initially giving him the boli for free due to his inability to pay, she also gave him free water.

As she did this, her neighbor, who also sells on the same line, began to blame her for offering help to the man.

The neighbor said he didn’t deserve it, but the bole seller stood her ground, saying it was right to do good.

Not long after, the man returned and offered a massive amount of money to the bole seller.

She thanked him and rejoiced. Meanwhile, the neighbor who had initially blamed her refused to celebrate, watching in jealousy and appearing unhappy.

The video, made available on TikTok, details the incident as the prankster shared it on his page, teaserprank_.

At the beginning of the video, he approached the woman, saying, “Good afternoon, ma. How much is your bole?”

She replied, revealing the price as ₦600 and ₦500.

After eating the boli, he revealed he didn’t have money. In response, the woman said:

Showing how sorry he was, he added:

“I’m not happy. The money wey they pay me for job just now, I wanted to buy water and drink, but I no get anything again. Thank you, ma.”

He also spoke about wanting to drink water, and the woman helped him. In response, he shared a comment:

“WOW, I was never expecting her to give me water too for me to drink. As soon as I left, her neighbors were blaming her for rendering help to me, saying that I don’t deserve it at all.”

After a while, the young man left. The neighbor beside the woman, who also sells, began to fault her for the good deed, but the woman mentioned she had no regrets, saying it was the right thing to do.

He returned, saying:

As he returned and told her about a hidden video, she confided in him about her health, saying:

“See me, I have hypertension. I don’t have money. See me, in 68 years.”

He then handed over a huge amount of money to her, and she burst into song, thanking God for the blessing:

“I thank God I have him, for a mercy I didn’t pray for and God did it for me. The favor I didn’t expect, God did it for me. God, I thank you.”
