What happened to Ryan Haywood?
Ryan Haywood left Rooster Teeth on 6 October 2020, after numerous sexual misconduct allegations. On 7 October 2020, Rooster Teeth issued a statement claiming that they had parted ways with him because he had breached the firm’s Code of Conduct.
Around the time of Ryan’s departure, an unnamed lady came out alleging that she had had a sexual affair with the voice actor since she was 17. A Reddit user then escalated the issue by compiling a spreadsheet detailing other allegations levelled against Ryan.
The allegations were mostly between 2016 and 2019, with a few dating back to 2004. One of the victims described Ryan as a manipulative predator who often took advantage of power dynamics to solicit sexual favours from underage girls.
Following the allegations, Ryan from Rooster Teeth admitted that he made mistakes but refused to provide further details on the matter. In a tweet on 6 October 2020, he stated that he had taken full responsibility for his actions.
