Shoppers flock to pick up giant 1kg box of Jaffa Cakes for under £5

SHOPPERS are racing to pick up huge crates of Jaffa Cakes at a major retailer, before stocks run out. 

The mammoth box is on sale at the store for under £5 and comes with a very special twist.

Home Bargains is known for its incredible range of sweet treats. 

The budget-friendly retailer often sells forgotten classics of Brits’ favourite snacks, as well as special blends of chocolate and sweets.

Now, one eagle-eyed shopper has spotted that the store is selling incredible 1kg boxes of Jaffa Cakes Misfits. 

The massive crate costs just £4.49.

The product includes broken pieces of Jaffa Cakes, making them ideal for quick snacking or a special treat. 

On the side of the box, the company explained: “Our broken biscuit boxes are made from imperfect treats, a celebration of second chances, smart choices and flavour that doesn’t cost the earth – expect wonky shapes and broken bits.”

Underneath that it reads: “Wonky shapes. Broken pieces. Crumbs expected.

“These misfit biscuits are all about taste, not looks.”

Shoppers have gone wild for the product, after the shopper took to Facebook to share the news. 

One excited customer wrote: “I need these !!”

Another thrilled shopper said: “didn’t see these! 

“Remember when I was pregnant and went to the range and sat in the car munching the box of these haha xxx”

One social media user simply said: “sweet jesus.”

The news comes after the discount store started sharing details about its range of Christmas decorations

The store’s amazing range includes a 40cm Red Bow tree, as well as a glamorous faux pine garland – with both costing just £8.99.

Also, Home Bargains is stocking an incredible ice skating shoe tree hanging for just £1.99. 

However, some shoppers were angry at the brand announcing its Christmas range so early. 

Other customers, though, said that anyone angry needed to lighten up. 

One wrote: “Why is everyone so angry about Christmas stuff coming out early.

“It happens every years and adds to the magic.”
