Should the UK offer military ‘gap year’ to boost recruitment? VOTE NOW

THE UK Government has announced a gap year programme to get teenagers joining the armed forced from next year.

Around 150 young people will be recruited for placements from March 2026 for two years, which will expand to more than 1,000 per year afterwards.

The scheme is intended to introduce more people to military life and prepare the “whole of society” in the face of Russian aggression.
