The 49-year-old has also thrown weightlifting into his fitness routine over the last few years.

But he’s seemingly also mixing things up with gruelling boxing workouts.

On Tuesday, O’Sullivan shared a video of himself hitting the heavy bag and pads with a trainer at the Avona Boxing Club on his Instagram.

In the clip, he said: “I think that competitiveness is something that, sort of, runs through me really.

“I felt like I had to have that competitive edge to push myself on.

“And I’d always pick someone and think, ‘Right, I want to be better than them.’

“And then when I got there, I’d want to be better than the next guy.

“By setting them goals, the training becomes easier.
