NEIL ROBERTSON was jeered by the crowd as he arrived for his UK Championship match after mocking England’s Ashes defeat to Australia.
England went 2-0 down to Australia in the series after being thrashed by eight wickets against their rivals in Brisbane.

And on Saturday Robertson decided to poke fun at England’s struggles Down Under as they stared down defeat.
During his walk-on for his semi-final match against Judd Trump at the York Barbican, Robertson pretended to hit cricket shots with his snooker case.
His cheeky gesture received a chorus of boos from the crowd as a laughing Robertson then exchange words with referee Ben Williams.
Robertson told Williams: “I was not going to do it. I nearly didn’t do it.”
There had been a delay in the start of proceedings as Trump arrived because neither player had been given towels for the match.
But TNT Sports commentator Neal Foulds joked that Robertson shouldn’t have been given one after he poked fun at England’s misery.
He said “I would not have given a towel to Neil Robertson anyway after that walk-on where he mocked English cricket, I think.
“I would have left him with no towel, no drink, nothing.”

Foulds’ co-commentator David Hendon added that England’s performance was so bad that such mocking was deserved.
He said: “There is a lot to mock at the moment, so you can’t blame him.”
Robertson went on to lose 6-3 to Trump, who powered on to the final against Mark Selby.
But Trump insisted Robertson gave him a difficult game and that he wasn’t at his best.
He told TNT Sports: “It was a tough game. I did not feel brilliant. The table was slightly heavier than the rest of the week, so it felt a bit more hard work.
“I did what I needed to do. I would love to play better than that but at the moment I’ve not needed to.
“It’s difficult, because if someone really pushes you, then you find in yourself if you have that next gear.
“At the moment, I’ve not needed to get to that next gear. I think it is in there, as I believe in myself.”
He said he was desperate to claim his first trophy of 2025 after a handful of near-misses as he added: “I need to take home that trophy any way possible.
“I don’t care what happens, you are going to have to drag me off the table in the final. I need to get this one.”
