Speaking to State House correspondents after the meeting with the president, Soludo stated that the meeting was fruitful, without disclosing the details, as reported by Daily Trust.
Soludo shared that he met the president “in such high spirits, hale and hearty, and it was such a pleasure to meet with him. It was quite a pleasant meeting.”
When questioned about his position as a governor in the All Progressives Grand Alliance, wearing a cap associated with the president, Soludo answered that, despite different political party affiliations, he believes in upholding unity among progressive political parties.
“These caps were produced even from the time the President visited Anambra state, and you saw all the billboards and all the stuff proclaiming that progressives are working together.
“And subsequently, it’s a fundamental idea that I believe very strongly, that all those the political parties who profess progressivism should actually come out together in a massive coalition to deepen the process, not only of our democracy, but also of economic and social development of our country. Soludo explained
Addressing the security situation in Anambra State, the governor stated that he had implemented a comprehensive strategy to tackle security concerns, utilising both kinetic and non-kinetic methods.
The governor revealed that the state passed the Homeland Security Bill in January, a new law aimed at fighting insecurity from the foundations.

Governor Soludo explained that the state has deployed youth empowerment programs to combat unemployment.
“We are dealing with the youths, the empowerment, the job creation, we have a unique programme where we trained and empowered about 5000 of them, and another 8700 will be receiving some billions this month or next month,” he explained

APGA stakeholders endorse APC candidate for governor
Legit.ng previously reported that the former appointees of the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance during the Willie Obiano-led administration have declared their support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prince Nicholas Chukwujekwu Ukachukwu, in the 2025 gubernatorial polls.
They made the declaration during a strategic meeting of former political appointees and stakeholders held in Awka, the state capital, a meeting led by the Hon. Owelle Onyeka Mbaso, a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters, who is now a Senior Special Assistant to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, on Sustainable Development Goals, a meeting which had in attendance a total of 2,500 members, said that they would work to deliver Prince Ukachukwu as the winner during the November 8 governorship election in the state.
APC slam APGA for endorsing Soludo’s second-term bid
Legit.ng also reported that ahead of the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has berated stakeholders from Anambra Central senatorial district for their move in endorsing Soludo’s second term bid.
The APC chieftain described the action of a select few from Anambra Central as grand deception similar to the ‘Yahoo game’, aimed at preventing Soludo from seeing the defeat staring him in the face.
The rally in Awka was the second major endorsement for the governor, following a similar event in Otuocha, Anambra East local government area, where stakeholders from Anambra North senatorial zone declared support for his re-election.
