Somtochukwu Maduagwu: ARISE News Anchor killed in Abuja robbery

Legit.ng earlier reported that ARISE News Channel has announced the passing of 29-year-old news anchor, Somtochukwu Christelle Maduagwu following an armed robbery incident in her residence in Katampe area of Abuja.

The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, September 29, 2025. The broadcast station said the Nigeria Police force (NPF) is investigating the tragic incident.

This was disclosed in a statement issued via its X handle @ARISEtv by Hadiza Usman-Ajayi on behind of the management of the television station.
