BRITS are bracing for 75mph winds and major floods as Storm Benjamin begins to batter the country.
Four weather warnings have been issued across the UK today, with strong gusts and heavy rain set to wreak havoc.
The storm first hit UK shores at 3pm yesterday, arriving on the southwest coast.
According to the Met Office, things are set to intensify, with weather warnings in place from midnight until the end of the day.
The rain warning will affect southern and eastern parts of Britain, with heavy rain expected to lead to heavy flooding.
The Met Office has warned that floods will lead to difficult driving conditions, delays to public transport and flooding.
