Last time here, West Ham were horrific and humbled by London rivals Chelsea, and the atmosphere at the London Stadium was in danger of turning toxic.
But Graham Potter and the Hammers board have been helped by the international break and a stunning 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest two weeks ago.
So the mood here is a tad brighter than many would have expected as Jarrod Bowen and Cristian Romero lead their respective teams out.
It’s always a spicy fixture, and could be more so tonight by the return to West Ham of Mohammed Kudos.

There’s a car fire currently being tackled at Westfield Shopping Centre, just round the corner from the London Stadium ahead of West v Spurs.
But it is being dealt with and is not expected to affect the kick-off time.
Meanwhile, Spurs boss Thomas Frank has given a surprise start to Mathys Tel, despite leaving the young Frenchman out of his Champions League squad.
While Aaron Wan-Bissaka was originally due to be on West Ham’s bench but has now been replaced by Lukasz Fabianski due to illness.
