Where are Donald Trump’s UK golf courses?

Trump purchased what is now “Trump Turnberry” in 2014, spending £44.2million ($60million) on the South Ayrshire hotel and golf courses from Leisurecorp.

The Ailsa Golf Course, located at Turnberry, is one of the top 20 courses on earth and has hosted four memorable Open Championships in its history.

In 2017 the Kintyre course was replaced with the “King Robert the Bruce” course, a par 72 course that features 7,203 yards of fairways.

Overall, the Trump organisation has spent around £150 million ($200 million) on renovating Turnberry since purchasing the area in 2014.

However, his golf property in Aberdeen is on a whole new level, being named “The greatest 36 holes in golf” and hosting this year’s Nexo Championship.

The US president bought the 1,400-acre plot of land in 2006, with the promise of turning it into a £1billion golf resort with two world class 18 hole courses.

Offering breath-taking views of the North Sea, Trump International, Scotland, has just had an all-new 18-hole links course opened by Donald Trump himself when he visited Scotland in late July.

The new course cost around £150 million and is named MacLeod Course, in homage to the maiden name of Trump’s late mother, Mary Anne, who was born in Scotland.
