Who is Man Utd interim boss Darren Fletcher’s wife Hayley Grice and who are their children Jack and Tyler?

MANCHESTER UNITED legend Darren Fletcher has been named as the club’s interim boss following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.

Amorim was axed on January 5 following a dispute with chief Jason Wilcox.

It came after a shambolic 14 months in charge as United finished the 2024-25 season in 15th and lost the Europa League final.

Fletcher now steps up to replace Amorim temporarily while the Red Devils work out who to go for next.

Throughout Fletcher’s career from Champions League-winning player under Sir Alex Ferguson to United youth-team coach and technical director, he has been supported by his wife Hayley Grice.

Who is Hayley Grice?

Darren Fletcher has been married to Hayley Grice since June 2010 after they tied the knot at St Ambrose Catholic Church in Hale.

Around 150 guests joined them at Salford’s five-star Lowry Hotel for a lavish wedding breakfast.

A year before the wedding, Hayley was reportedly held at knifepoint when robbers broke into the pair’s £2million mansion in Manchester and demanded she hand over her engagement ring.

The incident happened while Fletcher was playing a game for Man Utd away at Inter Milan.

Fletcher has called Hayley a “saint” for her support after he was diagnosed with chronic bowel disease ulcerative colitis in 2010.

The condition left Fletcher “running to the toilet 10, 20, 30 times a day and losing a lot of blood”, while being barely able to leave his home.

Fletcher battled on with the issue for a couple of years before having successful surgery in 2013 and he was able to continue his playing career.

Who are Darren Fletcher’s children Jack and Tyler?

The couple have two children together, twins Jack and Tyler, who were born in 2007.

Both boys are teenagers who are pushing to be involved in the United first-team on a regular basis.

Jack made three substitute appearance under Amorim – all coming in the three games before he got the sack.

Tyler is yet to make his senior debut at the time of his dad’s appointment, but he was on the bench for all three of those matches.

Both are midfielders just like their dad was in his pomp.
