WREXHAM’S Hollywood star owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have held talks regarding manager Phil Parkinson’s future amid a turbulent start to the season.

The Red Dragons’ start to life in the Championship has seen them losing three of their first five games, with only one win to show for themselves, as they sit in the fourth relegation spot in the table.
That is despite a serious investment last summer that saw the EFL side’s chiefs splurging £30million and breaking their transfer record three times with Liberato Cacace, Lewis O’Brien and Nathan Broadhead.
But Wrexham’s performances and results haven’t lived up to expectation amid Reynolds and McElhenney‘s Premier League ambitions.
According to talkSPORT, club chiefs got together to discuss Parkinson’s position at the helm.
This comes after Reynolds, 48, flew all the way from the US to attend Wrexham’s most recent home match against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The Deadpool star watched his team lose 3-1 to QPR, which signalled Parkinson’s third failed attempt of winning a Championship match at the Racecourse Ground.
The 57-year-old still holds favour in the club after leading Wrexham from League Two all the way to the second division ever since his arrival in 2021.
And the star actors have shown faith in Parkinson by sticking with him this season.
However, Reynolds and McElhenney have also shown a ruthless edge after moving Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer this summer.

Mullin was sent out on loan to League One outfit Wigan last month.
Palmer followed the striker out the door as he joined Swindon Town in the fourth tier.
Wrexham are back in action on Saturday when they visit Norwich at Carrow Road.
