Dave announces first-ever headline show in Nigeria

Dave, the British-Nigerian rapper, has announced his first-ever headline performances in Nigeria.

The award-winning rapper, born David Orobosa Michael Omoregie, is scheduled to take the stage at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts (National Theatre), Surulere, on October 16 and 17 as part of his ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’ tour.

In a post via his Instagram story, Dave also shared the graphics of the tour guide with the caption: “Lagos, Nigeria. First headline shows. My homecoming.”

The Lagos dates mark a significant moment for the rapper and his Nigerian fanbase, who will get to see him headline a concert in the country for the first time.

Dave is widely regarded as one of the leading figures in UK rap.

He began writing out lyrics from the age of 11 and dropped his first freestyle in May 2015 at just 17.

The 27-year-old rose to prominence with tracks such as ‘Funky Friday’, ‘Location’ and ‘Starlight’, earning praise for his sharp lyricism, storytelling and socially conscious themes.

The rapper put out his third studio album ‘The Boy Who Played The Harp’ in 2025, which has received further critical acclaim and topped charts.

He has also received a plethora of awards and nominations for his craft.
